Studio Faculty Bios
Janet Taisey Craft, (choreographer & director)
is founder and artistic director of The Ipswich Moving Company.
Her choreography has been presented in the US, the Netherlands,
the former Soviet Union, and at the International Edinburgh
Fringe Festival in Scotland. She has conducted numerous artist-in-residence
dance projects in public schools over the last twenty years.
Janet is Head of the Dance Program at Emerson College in Boston.
Her work was selected to appear in the First International
Aerial Dance Festival in 1992. In addition to creating aerial
dances, Craft has choreographed and presented over forty dance
theatre works, concert dances, and collaborative installation
projects. Janet has lived in Ipswich for over twenty-five
years where she has drawn inspiration for many of her dances
and theatre pieces.
Jenny Carlson (teacher & dancer) graduated from
Emerson College with a BFA in dance. She has taught dance
in public schools, summer arts camps and dance schools in
Connecticut and Massachusetts. She dances with The Ipswich
Moving Company and FlipSide Dance Theatre. She is the Director
of the Children and Teen Dance School at the Ipswich Moving
Company.
Adrienne Mincz (Pilates teacher & director) is
a Certified Stott Pilates instructor currently teaching in
Manchester by the Sea, Boston, and Ipswich. Adrienne is a
professional dancer on the faculty of the Jeannette Neill
Dance Studio and is Artistic Director of Five Flights Up Dance
Company, a Boston based contemporary dance company.
Lakshmi Linda Sirois (yoga teacher & therapist)
is an Expressive Arts Psychotherapist, and a Licensed Mental
Health Counselor. She received a M.A. in Dance/Movement Therapy
in 1987, and was certified as a Kundalini Yoga Instructor
in 1995. She has practiced and studied Authentic Movement
since 1980, when it became her favorite way to learn about
herself, and it has been her specialty in her Expressive Arts
Therapy practice since 1992.
